She first achieved success in the 1980s as the front woman and lead vocalist of the popular Brit and Grammy Award winning English group, Sade. A marriage to Spanish film director Carlos Pliego ended in 1995 after six years. Sade gave birth to a daughter, Ila Adu, in 1996 after a relationship with a Jamaican musician. She was made a member of the Order of the British Empire in 2002. The Daily Mail described her prior to the release of Soldier of Love in 2010, as "famously reclusive". This would be 6th Sade studio album so far. Diamond Life (1984), Promise (1985), Stronger Than Pride (1988), Love Deluxe (1992), and Lovers Rock (2000) were released before.
